Are you a Devonian? Or are you perhaps planning to travel to the South West corner of England during one of the forthcoming Bank Holiday weekends? If you are, you may end up in Coach H sitting next to the Quietus, but if you see me there, headphones on, peering intently out over the sea wall at Dawlish, please don’t interrupt. Because chances are I’ll be deeply engrossed in the music of the Sonic Journey created by electronic artist Shackleton and Vengeance Tenfold. The electronic artists have collaborated on two pieces of music, one to be listened to while travelling on the mainline between Exeter and Totnes, the other intended to accompany the Tarka line between Exeter and Barnstaple. The two pieces of music are now available to download via the Soundclouds below. Check the Quietus in the next month or so for an interview with Shackleton and Vengeance Tenfold about how they created these very special pieces of music.
