Shackleton Announces New Collaborative Album

The producer's latest record sees him team up with Anika

Following on from a number of collaborations with vocals artists on recent releases, including spoken word artist Vengeance Tenfold and singer Ernesto Tomasini, Shackleton has announced another collaboration, this time with musician, singer and DJ Annika Henderson.

The new record is titled Behind The Glass and is comprised of one hour-long piece split into four parts. The album marks Shackleton’s first release on his own Woe To The Septic Heart imprint since 2015 following a pair of records released with Honest Jon’s.

Behind The Glass will be released next month and, as Resident Advisor reports, Annika Henderson is said to narrate "a tale of love, longing, fate and compulsion, which stretches out in the style of a surreal fable", while Shackleton finds a spot somewhere "between devotional music and avant trance".

Henderson’s past work has seen her team up with Geoff Barrow and his band Beak> as well as Neu!’s Michael Rother and more.
