The details for this year’s Sensoria Festival in Sheffield have now been announced.
The festival will feature live music and film screenings, as well as exhibitions and installations. Amongst the bands and musicians listed is a rare live performance by synth-pop duo Blancmange, as well as performances by Michael Rother, Wild Beasts and John Grant. Gazelle Twin will also present her audiovisual work, Kingdom Come.
Additionally, a screening of Imagine Waking Up Tomorrow And All Music Has Disappeared, the documentary film following Bill Drummond’s forming of a non-musicians choir, The17 is scheduled. The festival will further exhibit the work of legendary American street photographer Robert Frank.
As with previous years, the festival is also hosting Sensoria Pro, a day of lectures and workshops aimed at people interested in working for the music and film industries. More information can be found here. The festival takes place from October 1-8.
