Gas, Rabih Beaini and Laurie Spiegel are all set to play this October’s Semibreve Festival in Braga, Portugal.
Also newly announced today are Lawrence English, Beatriz Ferreyra and Sabre, who join the previously announced likes of Fis, Deathprod, Valgeir Sigurðsson and Kyoka at the festival.
Wolfgang Voigt’s appearance as Gas is the latest in a string of dates he has lined up for the year touring recent album Narkopop, while Rabih Beaini is expected to deliver another of his unique and ever-expanding live sets. The show he is presenting at Semibreve will mark a Portuguese premiere.
This year’s festival also sees the Edigma Semibreve Award return. It "seeks to celebrate and promote the creation of works that explore the interactivity, sound and image supported through the use of digital technologies" with the award being directed at both individual artists and collectives and offering a €2500 prize to one winner. Entries for that close on July 15 and you can find more information on it here, where you can also find out more about the festival itself and get tickets.
Semibreve Festival takes place in Braga, Portugal from October 27-29.
