Semibreve Festival Completes 2024 Lineup

Carmen Villain and Chris Watson are among the final additions to the bill for the Portuguese event

Braga festival Semibreve has revealed the final wave of acts playing its 2024 edition.

Among the latest additions to the bill for this year’s event are Smalltown Supersound label affiliate Carmen Villain and trombonist and composer Kalia Vandever. Field recordist Chris Watson will also link up with Polish sound recordist Izabela Dłużyk to debut a new performance called ‘Białowieża, which will take place in darkness and make use of an eight-channel sound system.

The final Semibreve lineup announcement is rounded out by Italian pianist and composer Giovanni Di Domenico; Iran-born, Stockholm-based pianist Shida Shahabi; Porto-based DJ-activist Saya; Lisbon-based DJ and producer Van Der; and a joint performance called ‘A Forbidden Distance’ involving Iranian-Canadian brother Saint Abdullah, Irish producer Eomac and Italo-Australian filmmaker Rebecca Salvadori.

They all join the previously announced likes of Moritz von Oswald, Christina Vantzou, Kevin Richard Martin and Iceboy Violet & Nueen, among others, on the bill for this year festival.
