WATCH: New Sealionwoman Video

Double bass and vocals duo Sealionwoman preview their debut album with video for lead track

Siren is the debut album from Sealionwoman, the duo of jazz-influenced vocalist Kitty Whitelaw and double bass player Tye McGivern.

The pair between them concoct a sound comprising vocals, double bass and electronics, as you can see and hear above in the video for their track ‘Remain’, which features on the duo’s debut album. The video is filmed at London’s Soup Studios which is where the two recorded and mixed the album.

Siren emerged from a series of concerts, called Selkie, that the duo performed in the vaults beneath Waterloo Station in 2016. The album is set at the time of the Highland Clearances and folds in influences of Scottish folklore.

Antigen Records will release Sealionwoman’s debut on October 12. You can pre-order it here.
