Robin Rimbaud turns in an excellent mix for makers of forthcoming industrial music film

Long-term Quietus favourite Robin Rimbaud, aka Scanner, has just turned in the mightiest of industrial mixes. Invited to put it together by Amélie Ravalec and Travis Collins, the directors of the forthcoming film Industrial Soundtrack For The Urban Decay, slated for release later this year – watch a trailer below – it takes in Test Dept, Zoviet France, Cabaret Voltaire, Throbbing Gristle, Nurse With Wound, Clock DVA, Carter Tutti, Einstürzende Neubauten and Laibach, as well as a few special tracks from the Scanner archives, "many of which have been rarely or never heard before, including 23 Skidoo cut-ups and an excerpt from the Coil/Scanner recordings from 1994 that were never unfortunately finished," Rimbaud explains. "In addition rare live recordings from Last Few Days, SPK and Einstürzende Neubauten, and even a piece from my group Dau Al Set from 1984."

Avail yourself of the mix above, and head to Scanner’s website and Facebook for all updates.
