SCALPING Detail Debut Album, ‘Void’

They've also shared a brand new cut from the record, 'Flashforward'

SCALPING will release their debut album this April.

Titled Void, the nine-track record was sketched out remotely by the group as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and features vocal contributions from rappers Grove, from Bristol, and DÆMON, from Oakland. You can watch a visual for lead track ‘Flashforward’ above.

"We produced all of the songs using the computer – as a blend of recordings and samples of our live drums, guitars and drum machines into production software – and then translated it all back into a live performance," said SCALPING’s Alex Hill of the recording process. "Although there are structured songs on the record, there’s no explicit focus on exactly recreating those songs live, either. Everything is adapted to work into a set that flows well."

Houndstooth will release Void on April 29, 2022.
