Next Monday, May 25, East London’s finest brewery, The Redchurch, will be hosting a Bank Holiday evening of excellent music and the best handcrafted ale. Hailing from the small Italian town of Bolzano, the genre-defying Satelliti features Andrea Polato on drums and Marco Dalle Luche on keyboards and synths. Writing of the group’s debut album Transister in 2013, Nick Southall said: "It stamps on your chest as much as it transports your headspace, a brilliant, high-impact meld of the physiological and the psychedelic." Speaking of their live show in an interview with the Quietus, Dalle Luche said, "It doesn’t sound quite as perfect as it does on the album, but we get quite close to what you hear on the album. We just one step sequencer with a very simple bass line, that will have, say, five variations of the sequence and this can go through different tracks. The only thing that we don’t play is the step sequencer but I can change notes in it live, so I think it is very live. There are no backing tracks."
On the decks will be tQ’s Sophie Coletta and Teeth Of The Sea’s Mat Colegate. Tickets are £5 on the door, check out the Facebook event page for more info. To get yourself adequately prepared, check out a mix Satelliti did for tQ below:
