Sandwell District Reveal New Album, ‘End Beginnings’

It marks the first full-length new project from the techno outfit since 2010's Feed-Forward

Sandwell District have a new album on the way, titled End Beginnings.

Following on from 2010’s only previous full-length studio album by the techno project, Feed Forward, which was reissued in 2023, the new record takes in eight tracks. Its announcement comes a year on from the passing of member Juan Mendez, most widely known for his Silent Servant moniker.

Regis and Function produced End Beginnings together with contributions from a cast of friends that includes Rrose, Simon Shreeve, Rivet and Sarah Wreath. They started work on it after reuniting for a series of live shows and archival releases in 2023, which continued into 2024.

Speaking about the making of the album and the reunion of Sandwell District, Regis, AKA Karl O’Connor, said: “Having a good time is pretty much why you get into it in the first place. And it is fun. I think we feel a lot more fortunate now, especially with what happened with Juan. We’re grateful.”

You can listen to lead track ‘Hidden’ below.

The Point Of Departure will release End Beginnings on March 28, 2025.
