Samuel Kerridge, the Berlin-based producer who’s been responsible for some of the most enjoyably deep, mind-altering industrial techno of the last year, is set to play his London debut show this Thursday 25th July. It takes place at Plastic People, Shoreditch, from 10-2am, and will feature Kerridge playing both live and DJing. Those who’ve heard some of Kerridge’s music will know what to expect – slow and sub-bass heavy sturm und drang, toeing a tight line between rhythmic propulsion and scorching, power-station ambience. "I want the music to consume you, take you in," Kerridge said in an interview with the Quietus at the start of this year. "I want a reaction from people, for them to be taken aback, all their senses assaulted. I don’t want to deliberately make harrowing music, though I see it as having a lot of emotion and soul. I hope people can express themselves when hearing it, but I also like to have that shock factor."
