Safe As Milk Cancelled

The festival had been due to take place at Pontins Prestatyn next month

The inaugural Safe As Milk Festival has unfortunately been cancelled.

Issuing a statement this morning, organisers said: "We are very sorry to announce that we have had to take the decision to cancel Safe As Milk Festival. Despite the widespread excitement about the event, we’re sorry to report that ticket sales have not reached a level to make the event viable so, despite our best efforts, we have no other option but to cancel."

The team behind the festival extended their apologies to all those who had already bought tickets, been booked to perform or were involved in the organisation, adding: "We felt we should take this decision now in the hope of minimizing inconvenience to all involved."

The festival had been due to take place at Pontins Prestatyn next month featuring the likes of Butthole Surfers, Jeff Mills & Tony Allen, Actress, Shirley Collins, Nurse With Wound, Dopplereffekt, Grouper and many more. tQ had been due to host a series of events at the on-site pub as part of the festival and we send our best wishes to the organisers in the wake of the cancellation.

If you had purchased a ticket, you can find full details on how to get a refund, as well as read the festival’s full statement, here.
