Ryuichi Sakamoto And Alva Noto Detail ‘Vrioon’ Reissue

The updated release includes a previously unheard composition by the duo

Ryuichi Sakamoto and Alva Noto’s 2002 album Vrioon is to be reissued later this month.

The album, originally released through raster-noton, marked Sakamoto and Alva Noto’s, AKA Carsten Nicolai, first collaboration together on record. It saw them work with piano, electronics and static noise, building a characteristic joint sound that has been heard on a number of collaborative albums and EPs since. In addition to the full remastered album, the reissue will include a previously unreleased composition by the pair called ‘Landscape Skizze’.

NOTON will release Vrioon on May 27, 2022.
