Ryoji Ikeda Details New Album For NOTON, ‘Ultratronics’

Out in December, it's pieced together from material recorded between 1989 and 1999, as well as compositions created between 2013 and 2022

Ryoji Ikeda has a new album on the way through German label NOTON.

Comprised of 17 tracks, ultratronics is the Japanese audio and visual artist’s first album for NOTON since 2013’s Supercodex, when the label was still known collectively as Raster-Noton. It takes in audio material recorded between 1989 and 1999 and compositions created between 2013 and 2022. Ikeda will premiere the album live at Tokyo venue WWW X on October 15. NOTON will release ultratronics on December 2, 2022.
