Rudimentary Peni Albums Set For Reissue

Outer Himalayan and Southern Records to re-release six LPs by the legendary hardcore trio

In some excellent news, Pope Adrian 37th Psychristiatric (artwork above), the fourth album by 80s anarchist punks Rudimentary Peni is set to be reissued in May by their original label Outer Himalayan and Southern Records, the first of a planned re-release of six of the band’s albums.

The album, as the text accompanying the announcement explains, is "purported to be based on the delusions Blinko was experiencing at the time, particularly the idea that he was to assume the Papcy, and become ‘Pope Adrian 37th’, the second English pope in history", after he was detained under the Mental Health Act.

All the reissues will be remastered from the original tapes with the vinyl and CD coming with a 16-page art book of Blinko’s famous pen and ink artworks, along with a bonus poster for the vinyl release.
