RP Boo is releasing a new album through Planet Mu.
Out in May, Legacy Volume 2 is a follow-up to the Chicago footwork producer’s classic debut album, Legacy, which came out in 2013 – he’s released three albums with Planet Mu since: 2015’s Fingers, Bank Pads & Shoe Prints, 2018’s I’ll Tell You What! and 2021’s Established!
Legacy Volume 2 comprises 13 tracks that RP Boo recorded in the mid-’00s, with the project designed to chart the influence RP Boo has had on the evolution of the footwork genre. You can listen to lead cut ‘B.O.T.O.’ just above.
In a statement accompanying the album’s announcement, RP Boo said: "What inspires me to keep going is seeing the people having an awesome time moving on the dance floor. As well as playing music that is a recognisable part of my life. I’m one with it."
Planet Mu will release Legacy Volume 2 on May 12, 2023.
