Next up on the ever-excellent Lost Map Records’ release schedule is a split from their own Rozi Plain and fellow Bristolian Rachael Dadd. It’s out on October 6 and features a track each from their new albums. ‘Jogalong’, taken off Friend (yet to get a release date), sets Plain’s reedy vocals among gently persistent toms and aerating analogue synth, pushed further skywards by a harmonising chorus of her own voice, while Dadd’s ‘Strike Our Scythes’, from We Resonate due on November 17 via Talitres, is hooked around syncopated ukulele layered up with lurching drums and a gilding of electric guitar.
Plain and Dadd will be touring together, starting this month, so take a look at the dates below, pre-order the split from Lost Map here and watch the video for ‘Strike Our Scythes’ at the foot of the piece.
