Ron Asheton, founder member of The Stooges, has been found dead at his Michigan home. As yet there is no official cause of death, though it is thought he may have suffered a heart attack.
Asheton’s death was discovered when his assistant alerted police after being unable to get hold of the guitarist over the weekend. Officers arrived at his home at around midnight last night, and found his body on a sofa. Police sources say that he appeared to have been dead for several days.
