Roger Robinson, frequently seen doing the vocal adornments for Kevin Martin’s Richter scale-bothering King Midas Sound, has released a new solo single, ‘Ghost’. Have a watch of the video, and download it for free here.
The cut maps Robinson’s close-sounding intonations over wavering synth pads and pulse-beat drums, describing a fine line between warm recollection and futile grasping at a moment passed. As Robinson says: "’Ghost’ is about a love that is gone but that never leaves. I wanted the music to sound muted, like you were outside the club but the girl you love was inside and you’re not going back in."
‘Ghost’ will feature on Robinson’s forthcoming Novella EP, with an album, New Broken Things to follow in August on Majesty Records. Stay tuned to his website here for updates.
