Robert Plant Named Vice President Of Football Club

Legendary singer takes role at Wolverhampton Wanderers

Legendary rock singer Robert Plant has been named as Vice President of Premiership football club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Led Zeppelin frontman, who has supported the team for nearly all his life, said he was flattered to receive the honour.

“First of all, I’m flattered, but I’m embarrassed to be honest,” he said.

“There are so many other people who are so important and relevant to the club, especially the people I sit next to at Molineux in the Steve Bull Stand.

“They’ve seen so many more games than me and they’re able to keep a closer eye on what’s going on.”
