Loop Announce Line-Up Change

Robert Hampson posts Facebook comment saying band will continue "in another form"; cancels upcoming festival sets

Robert Hampson of Loop has released a statement today on the band’s Facebook page announcing a line-up change. The shake-up has subsequently affected Loop’s touring schedule, with Hampson stating that the band’s planned appearances at ATP Iceland and Poland’s OFF festival are now "not within reach". The statement does, however, promise that Loop are to continue "in another form".

"Yes, it might be shit. I agree on that," says Hampson in his statement. "But let it breathe and see first before casting stones. I’ll be the first to swiftly turn around and walk away if it stinks." The band reformed last year with the line-up of John Wills on drums, Neil Mackay on bass and Scott Dowson on guitar. Wills left the band in January, with Wayne Maskell of The Heads taking his place. As yet, there are no details as to who will comprise the new line-up.
