Last night, as we laboured under a bruised sky and the Stoke Newington birdlife chirped its last, The Quietus stuck The Horrors’ new album on the stereo.
And my, were we mighty impressed. The Bad Seeds/Cramps/Garage schlock of yore has been given a mighty twist that’s one part Kraut, two parts Thames Valley circa 1991 – and it works to marvellous effect.
This very morning, though, The Horrors have made the video for their new single ‘Sea Within A Sea’ available online – think Ride and Bauhaus having a crack at Faust’s ‘Fur Immer’.

Clever Loog/Universal, losing two of their acts (Horrors and Patrick Wolf) back to independent land just as they get good. AHAHAHAH. The Horrors’ new album Primary Colours will be released on XL on May 4th 2009.
