RM Hubbert Announces New Album

Breaks & Bone set for release in September; stream album cut Dec 11

Fresh off the back of winning this year’s Scottish Album Of The Year Award, RM Hubbert has announced that his new album Breaks & Bone will be out on September 27 via Chemikal Underground (nicely underlining the release is the fact that it’ll be the Glaswegian label’s 200th record) – have a listen to a track from the album, ‘Dec 11’, below:

It’s his third solo album, following the break-up of his old band El Hombre Trajeado, and features his voice more prominently than his two previous albums, First & Last and SAY-winner Thirteen Lost & Found. It deals directly with the death of his parents, with the tracks ‘Feedback Loops’ and ‘Slights’ written to his mother and father respectively, as well as his chronic depression on ‘Bolt’. It also strips back the plethora of guests on Thirteen Lost & Found, with the ten tracks purely featuring Hubbert and embellished by producer Paul Savage.

He’ll be setting off on tour around the release of the album – have a look at the tour dates below, with a trailer for the album following:
