Reports Of Sexual Offences Soar In London’s Clubs

Sexual offence reports see a 137 per cent increase in the last five years

New data collected by Broadly shows that reports of rape in London clubs, pubs and bars has increased by 136 per cent over the last five years.

As FACT reports, the data was obtained from the Metropolitan Police and takes in the period between April 1, 2011 and March 31, 2016. 52 reports of rape were filed in London’s clubs, pubs and bars, doubling the statistics of 2011-2012. 358 reports of sexual offences have been reported in venues carrying alcohol license between 2015 and 2016, a figure that has more than doubled on statistics from five years ago.
