Glasgow’s Remember Remember have just released Forgetting The Present, their third LP on Mogwai’s Rock Action label. Coming three years since their last full length, The Quickening, it marks an evolution for the group on their return, adding to their palette of dense instrumental rock with influences from dance music.
After beginning as a solo project of multi-instrumentalist Graeme Ronald, Remember Remember have grown to a six-piece, musically expanding on Ronald’s original loop-based endeavours into a fuller sound that mixes elements from kosmische, psychedelia and post-rock. We’ve got a first look at the video for ‘La Mayo’, the latest track to be released from the album, above – much like the music it accompanies, the video, directed by Sofia Stavropoulou, is saturated with colour and eschews lyrical content in favour of abstract imagery.
