PREMIERE: Regis Shares Live Film Trailer

The DJ and producer branches out into archaeological entertainment

One might normally expect to find Karl ‘Regis’ O’Connor in the usual hallowed halls of techno, playing the theme for It Ain’t Half Hot Mum to the harnessed German bears of Berghain, for instance, or the theme from Dad’s Army at Corsica Studios.

Now, though, he has taken to ancient, empty, Greek amphitheatre for a new film and rare live performance, being released via DVD, picturebook and 12" this autumn. Let The Night Return is a film of Regis performing a set on June 6, 2019 at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus in Peloponnese, Greece, a 2,360-year-old UNESCO world heritage site.

We are promised "ancient hymns blended with musique concrète, pythagorean guitar riffs, a 200 BC composition and an organ/piano amidst other unpredicted elements, while Regis shifts between the new and the old – channeling an eternity of musical evolution, back to the place it all started."

You can watch the trailer for the film above and find out more information here.
