Red Hot Chili Peppers To Start Work On New Album

Band heading to studio in October

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers will head into the studio in October to begin work on a new album.

Drummer Chad Smith revealed to Billboard that the band were ready to start working on the follow up to 2006’s double album Stadium Arcadium.

He said: "Everybody was like, ‘Y’know, I really like having this time off, not being a Chili Pepper and doing other things…It’ll be two years in September, so now we’re ready.

“You can’t force people to play when they don’t want to play or aren’t ready to play or whatever — not in our band, anyway."
