Lamb Of God frontman, Randy Blythe, has been released from prison in Prague, Czech Republic after spending over a month in custody on manslaughter charges, report Blabbermouth.
He has been released after paying bail of around 8 million Czech Koruna (almost £250,000), a figure which doubled last month.
Blythe was originally arrested on June 27 at Prague airport, accused of shoving a local fan off the stage during his band’s gig in Prague in May 2010. The fan reportedly suffered a brain hemorrhage which led to his death a month later.
While Blythe can now return to America, he will still have to face trial in Prague. Martin Radvan, his Czech lawyer, said that concerns that he Blythe will disappear before then to avoid trial are unfounded: "There would be posters with his picture all around the world, and if he wants to continue performing, he will have to return. And he wants to return because he believes he is not guilty of anything he has been charged with."
Blabbermouth also report that Jonathan Crane, a reporter for the Prague Post, relayed the thoughts of a legal expert on Blythe’s defence team to WTVR-TV: “Even if Randy was responsible for the alleged attack, the expert said that who is to say that he wasn’t accidentally kicked or trodden on or left without help by fans below the stage.”
