The last couple of years have seen lo-fi godfather R. Stevie Moore attracting a growing amount of attention across the board, both thanks to the influence his decades’ worth of recordings have had on current operators like Ariel Pink, and the enthusiastic patronage of well-known uberfans like The Charlatans’ Tim Burgess (who is currently releasing music by Moore through his label O Genesis).
Now, as The Wire report, he’s giving away a free album via his Bandcamp page. Entitled PLEASE LEAVE!, it was originally released in February this year. You can listen and download it below. Moore is set to play at Field Day this Saturday, 2nd June, in London’s Victoria Park.
