This spring will see the release of a new EP from Knightstown, AKA Michael Aston, following his signing to FatCat in 2016 having submitted a demo track to their website in 2014 which went on to become one of the most listened to tracks on the label’s demo site.
Ahead of the release of that EP, he has released a new single entitled ‘Charlatan’. The track makes overt references to Aldous Huxley’s novel Brave New World, which Aston says had a profound effect on him.
With the single just released, a new remix of the track by Pye Corner Audio can now be streamed above. Retaining much of the spacey synth play that characterises the work of the producer, it sets Martin Jenkins’ sound against Aston’s falsetto vocals.
The remix is due out this Friday (January 19) while the original is out now.
