Public Enemy Return With ‘State Of The Union (STFU)’

"Our collective voices keep getting louder," Chuck D says in a statement accompanying the new track

Public Enemy have shared a new track and video, ‘State Of The Union (STFU)’.

The track, which is produced by DJ Premier, sees the group taking on the Trump presidency, and is available for fans to download for free via Public Enemy’s website. You can watch the video above.

"Our collective voices keep getting louder," Chuck D says in a statement accompanying the track. "The rest of the planet is on our side. But it’s not enough to talk about change. You have to show up and demand change. Folks gotta vote like their lives depend on it, ’cause it does."

In an additional statement, Flavor Flav says: "Public Enemy tells it like it is. It’s time for [Trump] to GO."

The unveiling of ‘State Of The Union (STFU)’ comes off the back of a confusing succession of statements from Public Enemy in March when it appeared that Flavor Flav had parted ways with the rest of the group over their involvement in a Bernie Sanders rally.

Flavor Flav later took to Twitter to issue a series of rebuttals to claims that had been made about the split.
