London venue Printworks has shared further details about the programme for its upcoming closing season.
The venue will host London promoter The Hydra for a series of five events over the course of the Easter weekend. The first of those, on April 6 will see The Hydra team up with fabric to present a lineup that includes Todd Terje, Parris and Fatima Yamaha, while the following day, a link-up with influential UK club night FWD>> will bring the likes of Ben UFO, Danny L Harle, Juliana Huxtable, Anz, Martyn, and Kode9 & Flowdan to the venue.
On April 8, another famous London institution in Plastic People joins up with The Hydra, with Actress, Omar-S and Jamie xx among the guests, while the following day, a collaboration with Berlin’s Tresor will host Jeff Mills, Surgeon, DJ Stingray 313, LSDXOXO and rRoxymore, among others. Finally, on April 10, The Hydra and That’s How It Is! will present a lineup including Gilles Peterson, Nabihah Iqbal, UNKLE, Bonobo and Nightmares On Wax.
Another newly announced event taking place during Printworks’ closing season is a 20th anniversary party for Ed Banger Records. Set for March 3, it will feature DJ sets from Justice, Erol Alkan, Vegyn, Brodinski, Alan Braze & DJ Falcon, and label founder Busy P.
The team behind Printworks, Broadwick Live, confirmed last September that the venue’s closing season would take place in 2023 as the area in which its based, Canada Water, undergoes a period of extensive regeneration. It’s hoped that the club may be able to return in some form in the same spot later down the line.
You can find the full list of events lined up for Printworks’ closing season via the venue’s website. The details for the closing weekend, scheduled to run from April 28 to May 1, will be announced soon.
