Portugal festival Semibreve has confirmed the full music lineup for its 12th edition this October.
Among the final additions to the bill for the Braga event is Caterina Barbieri, who will return to the festival after a previous appearance in 2018 to present her new album, Spirit Exit, alongside visual artists MFO and Ruben Spini. François J. Bonnet and Stephen O’Malley will also be playing and marking their debut at Semibreve off the back of a previous collaboration on record for Editions Mego, 2019’s Cylene.
Maxwell Sterling and visual artist Stephen McLaughlin; Lea Bertucci & Ben Vida; and David Maranha, presenting a solo performance for electronics and organ, complete the lineup for this year’s event. Various on-site installations, artist workshops and talks will be confirmed at a later date.
All of the newly confirmed artists join the previously announced Alva Noto, KMRU, Félicia Atkinson, Jan Jelinek, and Burnt Friedman & Drumming GP, among others, on the lineup for this year’s Semibreve.
Semibreve will take place from October 27 to 30, 2022. Find more information here.
