Pontiak, the Virginian trio of brothers, have reined in the noise and squall for their new album, INNOCENCE, opting instead to write songs pushing their voices to the fore. Ably showcasing this is ‘Wildfires’, a coruscating cut from the new record which we’ve got a first spin of ahead of its release on January 27 via Thrill Jockey. The band will be supporting the new album, their first since 2012’s Echo Ono and following last year’s 7" ‘Heat Leisure’, recorded with Arbouretum’s Steve Strohmeier and Guardian Alien’s Greg Fox, with a run of UK dates later in the year, featuring appearances from label mate Man Forever and Kogumaza on a couple
