Here’s Newcastle’s Warm Digits remixing ‘Pig Sick’ from Manchester band PLANK!’s forthcoming debut long-player Animalism. The album gets released on 20th August via aA Recordings, and there’s a launch party this Friday, 27th July, at Soup Kitchen in Manchester, with support from Hookworms.
After hearing the endless industrial crashes and bangs of the Olympic Stadium coming to life across the canal, it’s nice to hear something of a mechanised bent which is rather more airy and uplifting. Also, credit to Salford’s Sacred Trinity Chapel for adding some echoey resonance to those drums. Download it here.
