The Spolkestra and Let’s Wrestle Live

Art-pop collective The Spolkestra will be playing The Macbeth this Saturday.

15 piece “solar pop, browbeat modernists”, The Spolkestra, are set to appear at The Macbeth, in Hoxton, this coming Saturday the 29th.

Originally formed in 2005 as a mere seven piece folk group, in 2007 the group expanded and recorded their debut EP Open Arms.

Featuring a huge range of electric and acoustic instruments, the Spolkestra have been compared to everyone from Frank Zappa to The Animal Collective.

Support on the night comes in the shape of Let’s Wrestle as well as DJing from Johnny Trunk.

Entry is free before 8pm, after which it’s £5 unless you go after 12:30pm, in which case it’s £3.

If you want to get on the guest list it’ll cost you £3, and you can get on it by e-mailing planbmagazineevents@googlemail.com
