PJ Harvey Shares New Music

PJ Harvey has released two new tracks lifted from her soundtrack for a recent stage play

PJ Harvey has shared two tracks from her forthcoming soundtrack to a new stage play adaptation of All About Eve.

You can hear the tracks – the instrumental ‘Descending’ and the Lily James-featuring ‘The Moth – above and below. She will release the full soundtrack tomorrow (April 12).

"I have always loved stories, and so to compose music to support and enhance a story being told is a challenge I enjoy," PJ Harvey has said of working on All About Eve. I also love the freedom that working instrumentally can give me without the constraints of song form.

"For All About Eve I chose to work with my long-time collaborator James Johnston as he has a soulfulness and sensitivity to his playing that inspires me. I also worked with Kenrick Rowe who has a versatility to his drumming I knew I could experiment with until I found what was right."

The play, which is being performed at London’s Noël Coward Theatre, is an adaptation of the 1950 film of the same name. It premiered at the theatre on February 2 and runs through to next month.
