Pixies Unveil Reissue Of BBC Radio Sessions Collection

It marks the first time 'Pixies At The BBC, 1988-91' has been pressed on vinyl

4AD is reissuing Pixies’ 1998 collection of BBC radio sessions.

Set for release in March, the new version of Pixies At The BBC, 1988-91 will mark the first time that it has been made available on vinyl, while it will also be released in double-CD and HD digital audio editions. The physical release will come with new artwork which pays tribute to the band’s late visual director Vaughan Oliver, using unseen archival imagery.

Originally released on CD only in 1998, Pixies At The BBC was pieced together from six radio sessions that the band recorded for the BBC – five for John Peel, one for Mark Goodier – during their 4AD years. The reissue features all 24 tracks from the six sessions presented in chronological order for the first time.

The band will mark the reissue of Pixies At The BBC, 1988-91 with the launch of a tour of the UK and Europe, which will see them play the albums Bossanova and Trompe Le Monde in full. Find a list of their upcoming tour dates here.

4AD will release Pixies At The BBC, 1988-91 on March 8, 2024.
