Pixies have shared the first instalment of their new ‘It’s A Pixies Podcast’ series.
Set to run for 12 episodes, the band will unveil each instalment every Friday until the release of their forthcoming album, Beneath The Eyrie, on September 13.
The podcast is hosted and narrated by The New York Times‘ Tony Fletcher who followed the band and their producer Tom Dalgety while the new album was being recorded last December in New York. "The podcast provides a real fly-on-the-wall perspective of not just the recording, but too the interaction between the band members and Dalgety," a press release explains.
Episode one of ‘It’s A Pixies Podcast’ is available to listen to now on all podcast platforms, such as Apple, Pandora and Google.
The band will follow the release of the album with a UK tour through September, stopping off in Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, London, Glasgow and a number of other UK cities. Find the full list of dates here, and listen to lead track, ‘On Graveyard Hill’, above.
