Pharoah Sanders and Jonathan Wilson are amongst the latest additions to the line-up for this year’s Flow festival in Helsinki.
The two acts lead the bill for the Nordea Globe Balloon stage, which showcases jazz, folk music and music from around Africa. Uganda’s Nyege Nyege collective will bring DJ Kampire and the Tanzanian singeli duo Pamba Bana & Makaveli to the festival, while there are also appearances locked in from Nubya Garcia, Flohio, Finnish musician Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Chicagoan jazz drummer Makaya McCraven and Turkish clarinetist Cüneyt Sepetçi.
Previously confirmed to play this year’s festival are The Cure, Cardi B, Nitzer Ebb, Slowthai, Erykah Badu, Robyn, The Black Madonna, Yves Tumor, Nina Kraviz and Lena Willikens & Vladimir Ivkovic, amongst many others.
