Perfume Genius is releasing a remix album for his 2020 LP Set My Heart On Fire Immediately.
Each track on the album has been reworked for the release with the roll call of remixers including Actress, Jenny Hval, Boy Harsher, Jaako Eino Kalevi, Nídia, Planningtorock, A. G. Cook and Danny L Harle. You can listen to Boy Harsher’s remix of ‘Your Body Changes Everything’, the first cut to be revealed from the release, above.
"I’m very honored to have all these incredible musicians rework these songs," says Perfume Genius, real name Mike Hadreas. "I felt personally remixed listening to their versions, hearing the spirit of my song completely transformed was very magical. Each one feels like a little portal to a fucked up shared world."
Matador will release IMMEDIATELY Remixes on February 19, 2021.
