WATCH: Paper Dollhouse – Helios

Project of musician and producer Astrud Steedhouder returns to follow-up 2011 debut; take a look at the video for new album track below

Paper Dollhouse, the ongoing project of electronic/folk musician Astrud Steedhouder in collaboration with visual artist Nina Bosnic, will release second album Aeonflower on March 2, via Bird/Finders Keepers and Night School, and Steedhouder is previewing it with a brand new video for album track ‘Helios’, which you can take a look at above.

The track gets the fitting visual treatment from Patrick Stein in the form of kaleidoscopic filters and veiled shots of both Steedhouder and Bosnic. Aeonflower, the follow-up to Steedhouder’s 2011 debut A Box Painter Black, is being billed as taking the project "into darker, murkier and more thrilling territory", with synths and noise taking greater precedence over the past folk stylings across the album’s nine tracks. Aeonflower will arrive in the usual LP and digital formats, but will also be issued by Bird/Finders Keepers in a limited cassette edition.
