Muslimgauze & Zoviet France Remixes Of Pan Sonic Unearthed

The previously unheard remixes were released via Sähkö Recordings over the weekend

Sähkö Recordings has put out a new three-track EP, containing previously unheard remixes of Pan Sonic by Muslimgauze and Zoviet France.

The remixes are said to date back to 1996, the year that Pan Sonic – the duo of Mika Vainion and Ilpo Välsäen – released their album Kulma. The three takes on untitled Pan Sonic tracks were forgotten by the label after they were submitted, only to be recently unearthed late last year on a DAT tape. Both Väisänen and Zoviet France’s Ben Ponton agreed that they should finally see the light of day.

The late Muslimgauze contributes two remixes to the EP, while Zoviet France offer their own sprawling 13-minute rework.

Remix is out now on Sähkö Recordings. You can hear clips via Boomkat.
