Last week, experimental Italian duo OvO released their new album Abisso, out via Supernatural Cat, and we’re now pleased to host a full stream of the record. It sees the band’s founding members Stefania Pedretti and Bruno Dorella going further down the path of hyper-abrasive sonics executed through minimalist structures, though here they’ve added a few more sounds to the palette. Samples, drum machines, synths and field recordings join their bare bones voice, guitar and half-drum kit set-up, and they’ve also enlisted a few collaborators, Gnaw’s Alan Dubin, formerly of OLD and Khanate, and Carla Bozulich and her band Evangelista, to appear on the record – listen in full below and head over to the label’s website to get hold of the record, available on red or black vinyl and CD:
