Overmono have shared their final single of 2022, ‘Walk Thru Water’.
The track, which samples vocals from Californian artist St. Panther, came together "late one night when we got back to the hotel after a show," the duo said in a social media post. "We wrote these chords as soon as we got in and spent the next few nights after each show chopping and pitching the vocal, blasting it out of a little Bluetooth speaker. As soon as it was ready we started to play it live and it quickly became one of our favourite parts of the set, so it felt right to get this one out before the end of the year." You can listen to the new track above.
‘Walk Thru Water’ arrives off the back of the duo’s recent collaboration with Joy Orbison, ‘Blind Date’, and the five-track EP Cash Romantic, which came out earlier this year. Writing further in a social media post announcing the new cut’s release, the Russell brothers said they have "a LOT planned for 2023."
‘Walk Thru Water’ is out now on XL.
