Robert Hood, Evian Christ For Oval Space

Bethnal Green venue announces music programme for first third of 2014

Excellent East London venue Oval Space have announced the music events they’ll be hosting from January – March of 2014, and it’s shaping up very nicely. Some of the names catching our eye are Robert Hood, minimal techno pioneer whose Paradise album under his Floorplan alias was one of our albums of the year so far, heading up a bill on February 1 2014 that also includes Shifted, the anonymous producer of creeping atmospherics and industrial-tinged techno, who recently released their new album Under A Single Banner on Dominick Fernow’s Bed of Nails label, alongside Oval’s two new resident DJs, jozif and Fritz Zander.

They’ll be followed by Evian Christ, the ascendant producer drawing on hip hop and more ambient electronic influences, playing a live set on March 21, while German experimentalist Pantha Du Prince will be drawing this first series of shows, Chapter 1, to a close on March 29. For full details and tickets, head to Oval Space’s website.
