Glasgow’s Outskirts one-day festival is back for round two on Saturday 20 April at the city’s Platform venue after making its debut last year.
This year, the bill includes ace New Mexico duo A Hawk And A Hacksaw, currently furthering their love of Eastern Europe music with their new soundtrack to a 1964 Ukrainian film, You Have Already Gone To The Other World: Music Inspired By Paradjanov’s Shadows Of Forgotten Ancestors. Also playing is Denmark’s wonderfully weird experimental one-man pop band, Frisk Frugt, which makes this an event not to be overlooked.
Also on the bill will be The Crying Lion, Florence To, Sonata For A Man And A Boy, Jaap Blonk Is Dr Voxoid, Made By Me, Poster Club, Rob Newman, Ryan Van Winkle and Xana Marwick, alongside literature, poetry, visual arts and installations.
