Ought Announce Second Album

Four-piece return with second album fresh from last year's debut

Ought aren’t hanging around, with news of their second album Sun Coming Down just announced, following on from the release of last year’s debut.

The band worked on the album during a period of winter hibernation in their native Montréal spending the first few months of this year writing and playing one or two local gigs, before heading back to the Hotel2Tango recording studio in spring to record the album. A number of tracks from the album have already worked their way into Ought’s live shows with ‘Beautiful Blue Sky’ described already as a fan favourite from their shows. You can give that a listen above. The album is out, via Constellation, on September 18. Ought have a number of live shows lined up in September shortly ahead of the album’s release to coincide with their appearance at End Of The Road Festival, taking in dates at London’s Village Underground (September 1), Manchester’s Deaf Institute (September 2) and Birmingham’s Hare and Hounds (September 3). You can see a full list of upcoming dates here.
