Earlier this year, Orphx, the Canadian duo of Richard Oddie and Christina Sealey, released the second CD compilation of the six EPs they’ve put out on the Sonic Groove label. The Sonic Groove Releases Pt. 2 brings together 2012’s Hunger Knows No Law, Boundary Conditions from 2013 and Sacrifice from 2014, adding in a previously unreleased track, ‘Hungry Ghosts’. If you want to pick up a copy, you’d best act quick – at time of writing, there are only four remaining from Orphx’s Bandcamp.
Now, before we publish an in-depth interview with the duo tomorrow, they, and director Dominic Marceau, have kindly given us a first look at the video for ‘Hungry Ghosts’. Marceau has multiple sclerosis and has drawn on medical scans of his brain and body, placing them beneath grainy static and with the visuals tacking to the track’s terse rhythmic pulses, for the video. Take a look above.
