The third annual Oram Awards are set to take place tomorrow (June 15) at King’s Place in London.
The event, which each year recognises talented and innovative artists working in music and sound, will feature a DJ set from Beatrice Dillon as well as live performances from Hyperdub signees Klein and Loraine James.
The six winners of this year’s awards were announced yesterday. They are sound artist Ain Bailey, musician Andie Brown, Cee Haines (AKA CHAINES), Natalie Sharp (AKA tQ favourite Lone Taxidermist), Nwando Ebizie (AKA Lady Vendredi who will also be performing live at the ceremony) and Steph Horak (AKA SheIsRevolting).
All of the winner will receive development bursaries to help with their work from the PRS Foundation. The Oram Awards is an initiative put together by the PRS Foundation in partnership with The BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Find more information about the event and the initiative itself here.
